Presentation


In the last R&P class of the autumn term, we made a presentation. I made a presentation about Starbucks coffee because I am working at there!! I'm not good at speaking in front of other people so I got a little nervous. However, my presentation group did a good work so I was stimulated from them. I think I did more better than when I practice in the last class. I learned how important speaking to others not to stare the computer. In addition, I feel a little bit interesting in making presentation even I'm not good at talking to other people. In the Winter term, I'm going to take a presentation class in AS class. So I want to improve my skill to make presentation and want to speak and explain fluently in front of others.

Prepare the presentation

In the last class, we prepare for the presentation for the next class and practice to make presentation. I'm not good at making presentation and get a little nervous. However, we learned how to make presentation effectively. I want to  practice more and more and want to make good presentation in the next class.

6th class

In the last class, we learned about presentation. How to present to other people and how to creat presentation. It was the second time for me to use google presentation, but I almost didn't remember the detail so the class was very useful for me. Also, I watched the video that Rab send us before so it help me understand the class more deeply. When I make a presentation, I used to use the title page in the first page so I sometime have a difficulty about a top page. However, I realized that I should use the empty page and delete a title page. In addition , I also had a problem when I use the image in the presentation. I didn't know the function of tool so it sometime be too little image and not clear. I leaned these solution so I think I can use the presentation more effectively. In the AS class, I have a presentation in group work so I want to use these tool!!!!!

5th class

In the last class, we learn how to use zotero in the whole class. Zotero is so useful to write some sitation in the essay, but it may took a little more time to have a perfect command of it for me.Zotero can save not only the book but also news, magazines, movies, and internets. I use it on my essay!! What is the most useful and have a impression for me is using the picture or some infomation from PDF. PDF seems to be not so academic support because they have no clear title or the source. However, Rab thought me how to solve this problem and I was so surprise to know that. Actually, I used this method in my essay!!!

4th class

In 4th class, I leaned what is Zotero and how to use it. I have never heard Zotero so I couldn't expect hoe useful Zotero is. We can seach some information in the book, magazines and news by internet and we can tag the information in Zotero. And what I most impressed is Zotero can automatically write down the Work Cited in Microsoft Words. I had a hard time to remember ort memo the Work Cited in spring term so this function attract me so much. Moreover, we can change the form by many differnt situation. I'm so huappy to know such a wonderful function, Zotero, and I' going to use this in essay which I'm working now.

Library Orientation

I learned useful database in the ICU library such as GVRL and LexisNexis. I do not often go library but I realized that library is very useful for us. It is so useful for writing essay. We can search some topic which is written in newspaper or magazine in LexisNexis. In spring term, I had a hard time to search some evidence in newspaper or magazine and search for its WorkCited. I would like to use this  in next essay. What I thought the most useful database was Grammary. This will cheak our grammar in essay automatically. Also recommend us more proper words. I want to use library more efficiently!!!!

Lesson 2

Last class, I leaned a new tools of using computer, Awesome screen shot. As it's name, it was very asesome tool!! I think this is one of the most effectivew tool I have ever known. I often use the screen shot in iPhone and I remember that I was told how to use screen shot from Ayako in spring term. However, it was a little bit difficult to me and and couldn't use it effectively. But in this class I leaned Awesome screen shot and this can be used very easily even for me!! I was surprised that we can also scibble to what we had screen shot. We also learned that how we can choose more academic topic in the essay so I would like to use both in the next essay!!
